Below are two entries taken from the journal I kept during this time that show how important God and His words were to me during this time.
June 30, 1997
In reading “How to Keep Your Healing,” this really stuck out to me.
“Divine healing is not mental. You cannot contact God with your mind. He is not a mind. He is a Spirit. God heals us physically through our human spirit. He heals us through our FAITH which is of the heart. Romans 10:10, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness.
If you don’t have enough faith in you to hold on to what you have, the devil is going to steal it away from you.
Have more faith in God than you do in the devil! Stand on God’s Word. God’s Word is true. 1 Corinthians 2:5 …that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men, but the power of God.
If the Word of God has been built into our spirits—if we have meditated on it long enough, feed on it and put it into our spirits until we know it has become a part of our inner consciousness, we can put the enemy on the run every time. Instead of being afraid when sickness comes, start laughing at the enemy and start praising God for His divine healing.”
There are two crucial things that are going to help me receive healing—the Word of God and my faith in the Word of God. I have to believe whatever is in God’s Word is true because God is not a man that He should lie. The Word of God is also alive and full of power (Psalm 119:160; Psalm 18:30; Numbers 23:19; Hebrews 4:12).
God’s Word is so powerful (effective and operative) that it will accomplish what it was sent to do in whatever area. So God’s Word on healing will do just that…heal.
Isaiah 55:11 so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth; it shall not return to me void. but it shall accomplish what I please and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Jesus died for my infirmities, all of my infirmities. I have to remember what Minister Gibson said that God healed her, and He would heal me because He does not change.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

I wrote down all the scriptures that Minister Gibson gave me when we spoke by phone last week and have been meditating on them every chance I get.
Isaiah 53:4-5
4 Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
Proverbs 4:20-22
20 My son, give attention/attend to my Words. incline your ear, consent and submit to my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center and midst of your heart.
22 For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.
Romans 10:17
so then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
I have to do more than just read the Word of God, I have to speak it out of my mouth which will continue to build my faith regarding what the Word says about healing. I will read these scriptures and confess them out loud over your body. Minister Gibson also told me to make these verses personal to me by replacing the pronouns with my own name when I read them out loud, and to continue to praise and thank God for my healing.
Mark 11:23-24
23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.
24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].
Cancer, Hodgkin’s disease, nodular sclerosis, and any other symptoms are mountains that I can speak to. Today, I started visualizing the tumors shrinking and breaking apart as I was reading these scriptures out loud. Cancer and anything else named is subject to bow to the name of Jesus, because the name of Jesus is greater and more powerful than any physical attack.
Philippians 2:9-10 therefore God has highly exalted Jesus and has freely bestowed on him the name that is above every name, that in (at) the name of Jesus every knee must bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth
